Palazzo Leti introduction

Palazzo Leti is a stunning historical residence situated in the heart of the Medieval town of Spoleto. The Residence was built shortly after the medieval walls of the Umbrian city were constructed in 1292 using, in part, a pre-existent Roman structure which you can still see walking along Via delle Felici.

The building has been altered on various occasions over the centuries. Many of the current architectural details, such as the groin vaults visible in the ground floor rooms, were added at some time during the 15th and 16th centuries. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the north wing and the garden with two neoclassic facades were added to the building. An important fountain and nymphaeum are still located in the garden.

Recent restoration work involving both the Palazzo and the Italian garden has returned the property to its original splendour and resulted in Palazzo Leti's transformation in luxurious historic residence. Palazzo Leti has a total of 12 individually appointed rooms decorated with warm colored fabrics and sensitive organdies. All rooms enjoy views of Spoleto's Sacred Mountain and Monteluco valley.

A sumptuous breakfast of traditional home made breads and cakes is served each morning, at tables lain with exquisite silverware, finely decorated china and the highest quality table linen.
